How to use regex to extract information
I have the following string
date=4/21/2008;pub_date=6/25/2009;id=1;title=Event: Event: The Impact of Social Media on Marketing Communication;description=Description:
I am using regex to extract the date and the title and show them. I have the following regex pattern:
date=(.*);title=(.*)
The problem is I have more than one date. I have the pub_date as well but it can contain anything.
I am trying to use the following:
$date = date=4/21/2008;pub_date=6/25/2009;id=1;title=Event: Event: The Impact of Social Media on Marketing Communication;description=Description:;$title;
The final result should be:
$date = 4/21/2008
$title = Event: Event: The Impact of Social Media on Marketing Communication
But the result I am getting is
$date = 6/25/2009
I am completely lost on how to accomplish this.
A:
You can use this:
preg_match('#date=(.*);title=(.*)#', $s, $match);
print_r($match);
Array
(
[0] => date=4/21/2008;pub_date=6/25/2009;id=1;title=Event: Event: The Impact of Social Media on Marketing Communication;description=Description:
)

Priming of the immune system.
Numerous lines of evidence support the notion that the immune system is activated and primed by factors that are present in the external environment. By "priming" we mean that these environmental factors have the ability to induce an early up-regulation of the functional competence of the immune system, to influence responsiveness to subsequent challenge, and, in some instances, to shape the ultimate outcome of the immune response. The prime examples of external factors that can induce priming are infectious organisms and products of the host itself. Infection of mice
